BOY LOSES A LEG.
CRUSHED IN MACHINERY, TIMBER MILL ACCIDENT, [EX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAUMAKUNUI, Wednesday. Wiiile working at Ellis and Bufnand's mill s;t Manunui to-day, a boy, Fred Martin, 16 years of ago, met with a serious accident. Ho was oiling a wheel which carries away sawdust and slipped. One leg was badly crushed. He wag conveyed to the Tauinarunui Hospital where, on examination, is was found necessary to amputate the limb.
