LITIGATION OVER PATENT.
AN ALLEGED INFRINGEMENT, JUDGE RESERVES DECISION. After a hearing lasting into the fourth day, finality was reached yesterday in tho action brought l before Mr. Justice Reed by George Frederick Saunders, Ponsonby (Mr. Luxford), against the Robinsort Ice Cream Company, Limited. The plaintiff is a manufacturer of refrigerating apparatus., and he alleged that illo defendants had infringed his patent; in an ice cream container which they were manufacturing. The defence was a denial of any infringement, and also an assertion that the plaintiff's idea was not novel, and that the patent was invalid. Evidence of a technical nature was led at considerable - length by both parties,, and counsel addressed the Court exhaustively on the various aspects of the suit. Intimating that he would reserve his decision, His Honor said the case was one of considerable interest to him, and he would make a careful review of the, evidence and of tho exhibits put in by the parties.
