FAREWELL GARDEN PARTY.

SIR JAMES AND LADY GUNSON A most enjoyable garden party was given yesterday afternoon by Mrs. F. Wilson, Mountain Road, in honour of Sir Jamas and Lady Gunson, who, with Miss Mary Wilson, will leave next month on a visit to England. The weather was ideally fine and in the bright sunshine tiie grounds looked most attractive with their gay flower beds and smooth lawns surourided by great sheltering trees. Most of the time was spent out of doors, whore, the guests roamed at will through the garden or sat in comfortable chairs under shady trees. Bright inspiriting music was supplied by a.string band and in the picturesque surroundings the light sUWim®r frocks that made a first appearance were . to be seen in colourful, groups that \yerc most, effective. The guests on arrival were. received, by Mrs. Wilson, and Sir James and Lady Gunson. Mrs. Wilson was wearing a frock of ficelle tinted georgette, inle.t with Paris lace and a hat with, black satin brim and ivory brocade crown. Lady Gunson was in champagne shaded romaino with ecru lace and a small brimmed bat oi" crinoline to tone. Lady Lockhart wore black souplo satin braided in gold and black and gold hat; Lady EUiot, amber georgette and small amber shaded hat; Mrs. McKail Gedd.es, black charmantc with panel of figured, beige georgette and black hat; Mrs. Parkes, frock of pervanche blue rornaino and crinoline straw hat, with large velvet bows;' Mrs. H. Wilson, black georgette frock and black hat, trimmed with ecru lace; Mrs. Vaile, ficelle tinted lace frock, with swathing at the hips of petunia velvet ribbon ' and brown feathered hat; Mrs. Somervilie, < brown and cr«am figured georgette frock and feathered bat; Mrs. Lindsay, black souplo satin frock and lavender-shaded hat; Mrs. J.
