The Union Company advises that the Waipiata is to sail at fivo o'clock this evening for Lyttelton, Timari, Oamaru and Dunedin.' instead of to-morrow, as wa3 formerly intended. FORWARD LOADINGS. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal Line steamer Huntingdon is to load at Auckland about January 3 for London and West of England ■porta. She will "complete loading at Napier and Gisborne, sailing from Gisborne for London about January 15. The Remuera' is to load at Auckland for London about January 25. For New York, Boston. Halifax and West of England ports the Devon is to load at Auckland from January 11 to January 14. She is to be despatched finally from Napier an January 31. The Tekoa , will return to Auckland from Hie South, to load for London on January 10, and will proceed later to Opua, to continue loading on January 13. Her final loading ports have not been announced. MATAROA DUE AT MID-DAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataloa is duo from Southampton anc'l London, ria Wellington, at mid-day to-day. Her passengers from England totalled .117 saloon and 506 third-class, most of them landing at Wellington. At Prince's Wharf the vessel will disembark 93 passengers and discharge 3000 tons of general merchandise, in addition to-loading 40,000 boxes of butter for England. From Auckland the vessel will return to Wellington on December 25 to. complete discharge and on January 3 will proceed to Napier to continue loading. She will return again to Wellington on January 6 to complete loading, and on January 15 will be despatched finally for Southampton and London, via Panama. The Mataroa is making her first voyage to New Zealand, She is a steel twin-screw steamer of 12,341 tons, and was built for the Aberdeen White Star Line by Harland and Wolff, Ltd., at Belfast in 1922. Her name was the Diogenes and she traded regularly to. Australia. Before commencing her present voyage sho was converted into an oil-burner. . Captain W. A. R. THE OMANA. The Lamb steamer Omana is to sail on Saturday night for Opua to complete loading timber for Sydney. THE DEWEY. The American steamer Dewey sailed yesterday . afternoon for Wellington and Australia in continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports. KIWITEA FROM AUSTRALIA. Bringing produce from Adelaide and coal from Newcastle the Kiwitea is duo early this morning. She will unload at Queen's Wharf. WAIPORI AT MELBOURNE. The Waipori arrived at Melbourne from Greymouth yesterday. After discharge of her timber cargo she is to load at Adelaide for North Island ports. KAITOKE FROM FIJI. The Union Company's steamer Kaitoke by wireless that she will arrive from Suva at seven o'clock this morning. She will berth at Central Wharf to unload coal from Newcastle and fruit from Fiji. THE CANADIAN SPINNER. Duo this afternoon from Montreal and Sydney (Cape Breton) the Canadian Spinner will berth at Prince's Wharf to unload motor-cars and general merchandise for Auckland. The remainder of the cargo i 3 for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. WINGATUI FROM MELBOURNE. From Taamania and Melbourne the Wingatui reached Wellington yesterday morning. Sho is to sail to-day for Auckland to complete discharge. Her arrival here is expected on Saturday morning. ULIMAROA AT WELLINGTON. With passengers, mails- and cargo from Sydney the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa reached Wellington yesterday morning. She is tho only Sydney passenger steamer arriving at or leaving New Zealand this week, and she will be despatched on her return journey on Friday. AEAWA TO LOAD. L. D. Nathan and Company advise that tho Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Arawa is scheduled to reach Auckland from Southern ports on January 1 to fill up with produce for America, and England. She is to be despatched from this port on January 6 for New York, Boston and London. THE NIAGARA. The Royal Mail liner Niagara is to leave Sydney to-morrow for Vancouver, via Auckland, Suva and Honolulu. She is due at Auckland early on Monday morning, and the following day will resume her voyage. TUR AKIN A SAILS TO-MORROW. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina ia expected to complete loading at Queen's Wharf this evening, and to-morrow inorning will .be despatched for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. MANGAWAI SERVICE. Tho Northern Company advises that the Kawau is to bo despatched for Mangawai at- 8.45 on Friday morning, and cargo will bo received on Thursday. It will be the steamer's last trip to Mangawai before December 24. MAKURA FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The Royal Mail liner Makura is due at Wellington from San Francisco, Papeete and RarotongSa on Monday morning. She is to resume fler voyage to Sydney on Monday evening.'. TAINUI SAILS TO-DAY. With passengers, mail and produce the Shaw', Savill and Albion liner Tainui is to sail for. Southampton and London, via Panama, at three o'clock this afternoon. She is loading at Queen's Wharf. ACCIDENT TO WAHINE. The Union Company's ferry steamer Wahino met with a mishap when berthing at Lyttelton on Saturday. A violent gust of wind from the north-west caused her to bump heavily against the wharf, with .the result that she received a long dent on the port side and one of the steel side doors was danmged. KAWATIRI SAILS TO-DAY. The Kawatiri was docked yesterday morning to have her hull cleaned and painted. She is to come out of dock this morning and to sail later in the day, for Newcastle, Sydney and Fiji. H.M.S. DIOMEDE RETURNED. H.M.S. Diomede arrived from Southern ports yesterday morning and berthed alongside H.M.S. Dunedin at Devonport. She. will remain in port over the holidays. FRENCH WARSHIP CASSIOPEE. The French warship Cassiopee, which is on a three months' cruise to New Zealand and Australian waters, reached Auckland yesterday morning, and anchored in the stream. SM will dock to-morrow morning to .overhaul- and refit. After about ten days in port she will resume her journey to Australia, via Dunedin, CARGO FROM TEtE SOUTH. Tho Kurow was delayed at Wellington by heavy rain on Monday, but it was hoped to despatch her for Auckland at six o'clock last evening. She is bringing cargo from South Island ports, and should arrive on Friday morning. The Kamo is to load at Dunedin to-day. and afterwards at Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Napier and Gisborne for Auckland. The Katoa is to load, at Dunedin tomorrow for Oamaru. Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. MAUNGANUI AND MARAMA. The Union Company's . intercolonial passenger steamers Maunganui and Marama arrived at Sydney yesterday morning, the Maunganui at half-past five and the Marama an hour later. On Friday the Maunganui will sail for Auckland, the Marama for Wellington, both arriving on Tuesday morning. MERNOO DUE TO-MORROW. The steamer Mernoo -has reported to the New Zealand Shipping Company that she will arrive from Montreal at noon tomorrow. She is running under the auspices of the company's Eastern Canadian service, and her cargo of general merchandise is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Sydney and Brisbane.
