DISASTER AT SEA.
A TRANSPORT WRECKED. OVERWHELMED IN A STORM. SIXTY-SEVEN LIVES LOST. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received 9.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 13. A disaster, attended with great loss of life, occurred yesterdby to the Chilean naval transport Aruco. While the vessel was off the seaport town of Lota a violent storm suddenly sprang up. The ship was overwhelmed and rapidly sank. Of her crew of 96 only 29 were saved. J he remaining 67 were all drowned, but as yet only eight bodies have been recovered. CHINESE VESSEL SINKS. LOSS OF FORTY LIVES. (Received 1.15 a.m.) Sun. SHANGHAI, Dec. 13. Forty Chinese were drowned when a steamer helonging to the Indo-China Company struck rocks and sank.
