DEVONPORT ELECTION.
MEMBERS OF POWER BOARD.
The election in Devonport yesterday of three members to represent the borough on the Waitemata Electric-Power Board resulted in Messrs. S. E. Kennings, G. Trevithick and T. Lamont being successful. There were ten candidates and the voting was as follows:—S. E. Kennings, 354; G. Trevithick, 338; T. Lamont, 282, I. Massey, 266; I. J. Fletcher, 252; E. H Little, 237; J. Hislop, 22?; M. P. O'Leary, 172; J. Woodall, 173; R. F. Way, 144; R. H. McCallum, 121; C. L. Stevenson, 83; G. H. Minchin, 81.
There were 4500 electors on the roll but very little interest was taken in the election. Mr. A. E. Wilson, town clerk of Devonport, acted as returning officer.
