IRISH INDEPENDENCE.

—« 11 DE VALERA'S LATEST MOVE. SECRET TRIP TO BRITAIN. Australian amd N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 4. The Daily Express says the Irish Republican, Eamonn de Valera, has just paid a mysterious visit to London, where he stayed two days. He travelled under the assumed name of "Mr. P. Little." De Valera was shadowed by Scotland Yard officials from the moment he landed until he left for Glasgow. The paper says it is understood that while he was in London he had a conversation with Communist leaders. Speaking at Glasgow last evening De Valera said they were out to establish a sovereign Republic. Only then would Ireland secure real independence.
