TWO CENTURIES SCORED. L. MARTIN AND H. CATTERALL. AFTERNOON OF GOOD TOTALS, The Auckland Suburban Cricket Association commenced its third series of senior matches at the Domain and Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon. The weather was line and the wickets were at their best. Of the several fine scores the innings of L. Martin {Harbour Board) was exceptional. Going in at the fall of the fourth wicket Martin batted in brilliant style, and punishing the bowling unmercifully reached his century in fast time. He gavo ono chance at 91. Continuing in aggressive stylo lie carried his bat for 149, the innings yielding 283. Martin's total included ten sixes and nine fours. Ellerslie had scored 101 for one wicket when play ended for the day. A second century was secured by 11. C'atterall, who contributed 128 not out toward Ponsonby's total of 309 against Glen Eden. C'atterall gave no chances and his fine effort included 17 fours and two fives. He wins the bat presented by Mr. L. Downes for the first Ponsonby senior player to obtain a century. Glen Eden did not bat. United Suburbs, playing against Green Lane, was dismissed for 124, Davies, McLaren and Leikis contributing more than half of this total. Green Lane replied with the small total of 91. In the B section Railway scored 122. against Gas Works, whose first innings produced 68.
