HUNTLY FLOWER SHOW.

PRINCIPAL PRIZE-WINNERS. [BY telegraph.—OWN correspondent.] HTJNTLY., Sunday. The Summer Show held under the auspices of the Huntly Horticultural and Beautifying Society opened to-day in fine weather and was well attended. The entries werei very numerous, and the judge '®f the flower section. Mr, E. Allan, of Bockland, commented favourably on the splendid display of pansies, stocks and gladioli: Mr. S. V. Bilkey, of Taupiri. / judged the vegetables, and fruit, Mrs. F. HaU, cookery and sweets, and Mr. E. W. j&farsfcon, handicraft. The points , prizes were awarded as follow:—Cut flowers: Mrs. E. Foster. JDecorativu section: Mrs. H. Payne. Pot plants: Mrs. T. Williams. Vegetables : Mrs. S. Foster. Fruit: Mrs. E. Foster. Cookery: Mrs. D. Smith. Handicraft: A. Stewart. Champion rose: W. C. E. George. The colilage garden competition drew 15 entries, and created a great deal of interest, the prize-winners being: Class 1: H» Payne, 1; C. Bailey, 2; A. Hildebrand, 3. Class 2: J. Ralph, 1; G. Green, 2} W. Alvey, 3. Other prize-winners were:— Cut Flowers.—-Mrs. E. Foster, 10 firsts, 8 seconds. 2 thirds; G. A. Shaw, 6 firsts, & seconds, 3 thirds; Mrs. A. Welch. 5 firsts a,lid 1 second; Mis.
