STREET WORKS OPPOSED.
SCHEME IN WELLINGTON. FURTHER LEGAL ARGUMENT. [BY TKLEG RAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON. Monday. An interim injunction was made about three weeks ago restraining the City Council from continuing its street improvement works at the Kent Terrace Reserve, and further legal argument in connection with the matter was heard in the Supreme Court this morning upon the question whether the injunction should be made absolute.
Counsel for the City Council asked that the interim injunction be set aside on the ground that it prejudiced the application of the council for a proclamation in regard to tho work.
After argument the council's application was declined and the motion for the injunction to be made absolute was adjourned sine die.
