LYCEUM CLUB.

DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE. An enjoyable entertainment was given by the dramatic circle of the Lyceum Club last evening. Tho programme, which was arranged by Mrs. Scantlebury, convener of the circle, comprised two small plays, which wore cleverly, enacted by members of the circle. In the first play, an amusing little comedy, entitled "Double Demon," by A. P. Herbert, a jury of 11 women and one man, provided immense amusement, and as each of the women represented a particular type the varied dressing and peculiar characteristics gave scope for much versatility. The cast, which was happily chosen, was as follows: —The foreman of the jury, Miss Joyce Grew; members of the jury, Miss Kirkby, Miss Joy Bartley, Miss Lorna Leatham, Miss Vera Ziman, Mrs. C. H. J. Wily, Mrs. Hobday, Miss Marie Gaudin, Mrs. Winks, Miss Miriam Norrish, Miss Joyce Gibbons, Mr. Zante Wood; usher, Mr. Graham. In Gertrude Jennings' one-act play, "Me and My Diary," which was most successfully shaped, the parts were taken as follows:—Miss Marlowe, Lady Adela's secretary, Mrs. Hopkins; Lady Adela, Mrs. Scantlebury; Miss Tibbits, Miss Marie Gaudin; Mrs. Cheyneys, Miss Joyce Grew; Miss Phyllis Awkwright, Miss Joy Bartley; Air. Humphrey Woods, Mr. Zante Wood. During the interval between the plays songs, which were much enjoyed, were contributed by Miss Vera Moginie, Mr. Hugh Woods, Miss Myra Monk and Mrs. Hobday.
