RAILWAY WORKSHOPS.
HILLSIDE IMPROVEMENTS. [by telegraph.—OWN correspondent. ] DTJNEDIN. Wednesday. Without stopping or hindering the regular work at the Hillside railway workshops important construction has been going on to fit in with the pian of reorganising this huge establishment. The lane about 20ft. wide between the erecting shop and the blacksmiths' shop, along which was a line of rails, has been roofed in, thus forming a series of new buildings. The easternmost building is for a substore. Next to the sub-store is to be the vat, where all engine work is cleaned, and then there are two rooms to be used by the men. There are offices for the foremen, the tool room and a new shop for th» coppersmiths.
