THE HOSPITAL INQUIRY.
ATTITUDE OF THE BOARD. SPECIAL MEETING TO EE HELD. A special meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board is to be held next Tuesday to discuss the report of the Royal Commissioner, Mr. A. Gray, K.C., who inquired into the administration of the board's affairs and disputes between two of its servants. The meeting will probably be held in the afternoon and the early stages of discussion on the report will probably, be taken in committee. In commenting on the report yesterday, the chairman of the board, Mr. W. Wallace, said that as far as the board was concerned it was exactly what he had expected. He wished it to be made clear that neither the architect, Mr. G. W. Allsop, nor the consulting engineer, Mr. A. J. Walker, had been paid commission on their work in connection with the machinery for the laundry and, in .view' of the commissioner's report, it would be a matter for the board to decide whether fees would be paid.
