Mr. Hammill reported that this season's Charity Day was disappointing from a financial point of view. The postponement caused by a wet Saturday had incurred extra expense, and the total amount fox distribution was just over £9O. The clubs would, as usual, take a share, and thin left little for charity. The chairman said the claim of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was most important, and it should be given every consideration. The question whether the clubs should participate in this season's takings was brought forward by Mr. Hammill, who suggested that the whole of the amount should be given to charity. It was eventually decided to convey the chairman's suggestion to the clubs. Next Saturday Carlaw Park will be handed over to the New Zealand Council, in accordance with an agreement entered into at the annual conference of delegates he!d ill Wellington last Easier. It was then decided that each affiliated League should stage a game, the proceeds to be handed over to the council. The Auckland League has arranged Ihe following games for Saturday Auckland Colts v. B section representatives, No. 1 Carlaw Park, 3 p.m., Mr. A. Sanders; Veterans A and B teams, No. 1 Carlaw Park, '2 p.m.
