SHEEP DOG TRIAL CLUB.
MEETING AT MATAROA. [jiY TELEGRAM. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAIHAPJS, Wednesday. A largely-attended meet inn of the Mataroa Shewp Dog Trial Club was presided over by Mr. J. McHardy. The secretary, Mr. J. Scoti, reported that there was a credit balance of £G4 7s od on the year's operations. It was decided to place £6O on deposit for three years as the nucleus of a 100-gui.oca gold cup fund. After submitting his report, Mr. Scoit gave notice of his intention to resign the position of secretary, but he was prevailed upon to carry on until the next annual meeting. Mr. Muir suggested that the judge's notes made when assessing tho points in connection with the competition which the ladies, have to judge, should be made available to the ladies as a guide for future competitions. The suggestion was approved and adopted. Mr. Scott gave notice that, he would move at. the next meeting that in future the trials be held alternately at Mataroa, Papanui. Tiriraukau and Taihape, commencing at J.T itimxeuMnaiSSa.
