GUM CLIMBER INJURED.

SEVERE CUT IN WRIST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WHANGAREI, Tuesday. A gum climber, Joseph Magee, was holding on with a, hook to the sido of a steep bank at Whakapara yesterday afternoon while with the other hand he chopped a tree. The axe slipped, and the point entered Magee's left wrist, making a deep wound and severing the arteries. The wound bled profusely, but Magee was not brought to the Whangarei Hospital until this morning. The patient's condition is reported to be satisfactory.
