PAPAKURA AFFAIRS.

WATER SUPPLY SERVICES. [BY TELEGRAPH..—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] PAPAKTTRA. Tuesday. The Papakura Town Board met last evening, the chairman, Mr. J. McColl, presiding. The foreman was instructed to bring down a report, in conjunction with the engineer, on the master of rearranging the water services on the Great South Road. It was decided to repair the Wairoa Road and Broadway and to order 24yds. of metal for the work. The Auckland Electric-Power Hoard •wrote in connection with the establishment of a local office, saying it proposed to establish a cash receiving agency ■which would probably be open one day a week. Owing to the. sports carnival being held in Papakura on Labour Day, the telephone restrictions to practically a Sunday service proved very unsatisfactory to a large number of visitors, said the Rev. Wood. He thought the service should not have been so restricted. A letter to this effect is to be forwarded to th* department.
