DEAD IN A COTTAGE.
FATE OF AGED WOMAN. LARGE SUM OF MONEY FOUND. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. . A single woman, Elizabeth McCready, about 70 years of age, was found dead in her cottage at Governor's Bay this morning. She was last seen alive on Monday and had been dead for some days. She had lived the life of a recluse for many years. A large sum of money, some of it in sovereigns, was found in the cottage.
