HEAVY TRAFFIC FEES.
AN INCREASE NEXT YEAR. DECISION IN CHRISTCHURCH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. The fees under certain sections of the Christchurch local bodies' joint by-law affecting heavy traffic are to be increased 100 per cent, from April 1. This decision was made yesterday at a meeting of representatives of the bodies concerned The increase affects heavy traffic vehicles on one pair of wheels for which the fees at present range from £2 to £3, and vehicles on two pairs of wheels which are now charged £3 10s to £lO.
