BOWLING.
THE RAWHITI CLUB. The official opening of the Rawhiti Bowlinp Club, Remuera, will take place to-mor-row afternoon. TAURANGA CLUB'S OPENING. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Thursday. The Tauranga Bowling Club opened the treason yosterday in fine weather. ' The Te Puke and South Tauranga Clubs were well represented. The green was in excellent order. The president. Mr. J. A. Guinnoea. in declaring the season open, said the prospects were particularly bright. He paid a tribute to the work of the green committee, the custodian and to the many other helpers who had assisted in bringing the groen and its surroundings up to a state never before equalled. Mr. Guinness also paid a ;tribute to the great help rendered the club by the ladies. Mrs. Guinness then threw the first jack and olny commenced. Every rink was occupied. *
