SCHOOL ASSEMBLY HALL.
THE TECHNICAL COLLEGE. PROVISION MADE AT LAST. The long-expressed wish of the board and stall that the Seddon Memorial Technical College should have an assembly hall is soon to be realised. Tenders are now being called for erection of an assembly hall in reinforced concrete. The hall will be erected between the workshops and the school. It, will comprise two storeys, including a basement. The top floor will be used as the assembly hall with accommodation for 800, and the basement will be used as a gymnasium. Provision for three classrooms will also be made in the basement. The building will be fitted with all the latest equipment, including a motion picture machine. "We have been working for an assembly hall for four or five years now," said Mr. If. S. W. King, chairman of the College Board, in speaking at the old boys' dinner on Saturday evening. "J hope it will not be long before old boys arc able to hold .their reunions there. Perhaps it may be year."
