Perfectly plain jumpers and bodices are vanishing. You must make your last year's one up-to-dato by some clever little touch, for the big French" houses show elaborately-trimmed evening bodices, and few absolutely plain jumpers, says a Parisienne writer. Usually, it's tho jabot that does tho trick for morning and afternoon wear. A pleated silk jabot, exactly tho same colour as your jumper, gives the fussier note necessary. Just a little silk, accordion-pleated. You must take off the buttons and throw open the V-neck wide over a pretty vest of the same silk—if you want to add the jabot. A tiny frill at the edge of the cuffs, too, will give you a ne'v and awfully smart creation. ... For some time now the buttonholo hasn't been "the thing," but it's come in apain—in a slightly different form It's- just a tiny flat bunch of the noftestlooking wee flowers—made of silAi, and dyed the exact shade of tho hat. You must, if you'd be smart this spring, choose your gloves and stockings to match or the same shade exactly. Nude colour gives tho freshest effect for sunny days—the gloves in washable leather and the stockings of tho thickest silk you can afford. .Buy two pairs of each if you can possibly afford it, as they wear so much longer. A smart effect at a recent dress show was achieved by large gauntlotcd gloves of beige, worked with tomato colour at the extreme edge of tho gauntlet, with beige stockings showing tomato clox.
