MOTOR-CAR REMOVED.

DETENTION FOR TWO YEARS. Charges of converting a motor-car to his o\vn use and failing to comply with the terms of his probation order were preferred against Walter Edward Love, aged 17, in the Police Court on Saturday. Senior-Detective Hammond said the motor-car, which was the property of Keith Norman Pitt, was taken on June 29. Accused had driven tho car away and had collided with another car. Ho had disappeared after tho accident and ho had not been located until recently. The probation officer, Mr. W. J. Campbell, said accused had been placed on probation last year for the conversion to his own use of several cars. He thought he should not be allowed anywhere near motor-cars. On the first charge accused was sent to the Borstal Institute for a term of two years. He was convicted and discharged on the second.
