SUMMER HATS.
I suppose we buy two hats in summer to every one in winter, says a fashion writer. This year we have so many different varieties to choose between that I expect we shall throw in a few extra.
About the middle of the summer the drooping crinolines will appear. This year they are absolutely transparent, and the brim droops lower one side than the other. Sometimes these crinolines have a deep border of black lace, not hanging like a lampshade, but slightly wired. The little headache-proof hats of corded ribbon are sure to be popular, they are so pretty and light. Perhaps a pale grey model will have slots for a ribbon of a brighter colour-to go through, and a navy corded silk hat will be encircled by a band of striped ribbon of many bright "'Some of the ribbon hats brims that are curved and not hard, and soft tall crowns that can be pushedltlus way and that, and secured by a fancy P Tho bangkoks are larger this season, and again we see the brim bigger one side than the other. A very largebar-shaped paste pin is worn right in front of tho crown.
