FIRE, AT WHANGAMATA.

[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WAIHI. Thursday. The Waihi police have received information thai, the post office, together with a store and dwelling, all under one roof, at Whangamat;i, was destroyed by fire during Tuesday night. Practically all the contents were destroyed. No particulars of the origin of the outbreak or the insurances are available, but it is understood that the owner, Mr. William Good fellow, is a heavy loser.
