GREY LYNN TOURNAMENT.
The Grey Lynn Bowling Club will commence a three-bowls pairs tourney to-mor-row at 1.30 p.m. The tourney will conclude on Saturday. October lb. when the second day's play will -take place. Following is tho draw for tho first round v Young and Chrtstey v. G. Little and U Brown; Blamires and Armstrong v. Curtis and Davidson; Lyo and Caddy v: J. Kecd. and Collin; Ci. Little and Smith v. Goldsmith and Shaw; Clements and Hawke v. Jones and G. Raynes. An all-day tournament, will be plwed on Labour Day for tho Labour Day Cup and troiihics. Tho Te Awamutu Bowling Club's greens were opened for tlie season this week in tho presence of a largo gathering, including bowlers from most of the neighbouring clubs. The president. Mr. R. Henderson, declared tho greens open, and full rinU pky followed. The greens were in remarkably fine order. Afternoon, tea was served by the ladies, and at tho conclusion of play Mr. R. Pilkington. of Hamilton, who represents'tho South Auckland Centre on the Dominion Bowling .Council, expressed the pleasure o( the visitors at tho success of the function.
