HOCKEY COMPETITIONS.

THE DEVONPORT SHIELD. ST. LUKE'S AND MOUNT EDENr With the Devonport Shield Hockey competition at a very interesting stage tomorrow's gamea at the Remuera ground are likely, to play an important part toward the "fate of the trophy. St. Luke's and Mount Eden will provide the chief Kama and the outcome is awaited with great interest. Somerville will play Somerville Colts and other games will be between Wesley and Areta, and Stanley and University. A great deal of interest is attached tu the final game for the Junior Cup be-tween-Training College (holders), and Auckland Grammar School (challengers).
