LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

THE NORTHERN UNION CUP.

VISIT OF SOUTH AUCKLAND. MATCH AT CARLAW PARK, The last representative League match of the season will be played to-morrow afternoon at Carlaw Park between South Auckland and Auckland for the Northern-Union Challenge Cup. Auckland has survived several efforts by Southern teams to deprive it of the cup, but to-morrow the team will face one of its hardest tasks of the season. South Auckland has been responsible for some first-clasa displays in previous challenge matches aad invariably has been hard to beat. Training for to-morrow's game has not been neglected and the toam taking the field should uphold the reputation of its predecessors and go very close to victory. The third grade teams of South Auckland and the New Lynn Club will play the curtain-raiser- Parnell and Otahuhu will play on No. 2 ground for the Stallard Cup. Junior grade matches will be continued. The following Auckland team was chosen last evening.
