SCOUT SOCIAL EVENING.
LADY CUBMASTER HONOURED Members of troop committees and scout masters of the Auckland district held the third of theif socials at Holy Sepulchre Hall, Burleigh Street, on Wednesday evening. There was an attendance of over two hundred. The hall was decorated with cartoons, the work of the senior fihu'ents of the Elam School of Art, who loaned them for the evening. During tho evening the district commissioner, Mr. 11. > G. Grigsby, presented a gold Swastika Thanks Badge to Mrs. A. E. M. Houghton, lady cubmaster of. St. Aidan's Wolf Cub Pact. Mr. Grigsby stated that during her association with the Auckland district scouts of more than live years, Mrs., Houghton has been one of tho most energetic and successful workers, sparing neither timo nor energy in the cause.
