VOTING IN AUSTRALIA. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Oct. G. The final returns in connection with tho recent referenda show that in tho case of tho industry and commerce proposal 1,247,088 affirmative votes were cast and 1,619,656 negative votes. For tho essential services proposal 1,195,502 affirmativo votes were cast and 1,597,793 negative votes. There "were 268,730 informal votes.
