CLOUDED WINDSCREENS.
AN OPENING NECESSARY. MAGISTRATE'S SUGGESTION. " I have always maintained that there should be an opening in the windscreen of a vehicle," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday when a driver of a motor-car said he was unable to see on the night in question as his windscreen was clouded by rain. "You should not drive at all if you cannot see," added the magistrate. Mr. G. R. Hogan, chief traffic inspector, said he agreed with the suggestion of the magistrate. The matter had been mentioned to the City Council, and was now being considered. The Magistrate: I have no sympathy with the man who says his vision was obscured bv the windscreen.
