NIGHT TRAIN SERVICE.
WHANGAREI AND AUCKLAND. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Wednesday. For some time past the Whangarei Chamber of Commerce has been moving toward getting a night train to run between Auckland and Whangarei. Nothing definite has been done, but there is reason to believe that an effort in that direction would be well received, even if it meant only a car service to catch a train at Maungaturoto. It has been decided to press the matter at the next meeting of the chamber, and it is believed there arc reasonable prospects of success.
