PURE MILK SUPPLY.
CAMPAIGN IN SYDNEY
CLEANLINESS IN FACTORIES
[FROM omt OWN CORRESPONDENT.) SYDNEY, Sept. 30.
Following a recent campaign for a purer milk supply are regulations arising out of a conference of inspectors under the Dairy Industry Act, and aiming broadly at the tightening up of tho laws affecting dairy produce factories. All factory employees, for example, who come in direct contact with milk and milk products must wear approved washable clothes and head covering while at work. It lias been recommended that all faC' torv employees should be provided with at least two suits of overalls and two caps, and that the employers should provide their hands with such suits. Other regulations for the better protection of milk and milk products have been given effect to. The necessity for bread being wrapped up when distributed is occasionally urged in tho press, but this is a reform which is a very long way off, especially if it means, as it inevitably will do, another riso in tho prico of bread.
