RAILWAY FATALITY.
MAN FOUND ON LINE,
VERDICT AT THE INQUEST. [ BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ) PALMERSTON NORTH. Wednesday. At the inquest this morning concerning the death of Sebastian Hnlena, aged 74, who was found injured on the railway line on Saturday, and died in tho hospital, the medical superintendent of the institution said that deceased's injuries were consistent with having been struck hy a train. Mr. J. J. O'Shea, for the Railway Department, said that he could not understand the driver and fireman of the train which had passed not seeing deceased. His own view was that deceased was not struck bv tho train, but had walked into it. The coroner's verdict was that deceased died from internal injuries caused by accidentally coming into contact with a train at a crossing.
