ENCOURAGING TOURISTS.
EXCURSION AT KAWHIA.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OTOROHANGA, Thursday. At a meeting of the Otorohanga Chamber of Commerce a committee was set up to deal with matters affecting the Kawliia district.
It was decided to run an excursion in the summer months on a 114-mile tour of the district, touching at Kawhia, the new cavos, and Marakopa.
A further resolution was passed urging the County Council to form the Orahiri Road, so as to give a shorter and better connection with tho Waitomo Caves.
