OVER THE MAMAKU HILLS. • FIRST . TRIP SINCE - AUTUMN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Saturday. A party of Auckland motorists passed through Hamilton to-day after having motored to Rotorua and back over the Mamakn Hills. Their car, a light machine with a high differential, was the first car to get through unaided under its own power fince- the viroad became impasoablo last autumn.

By keeping to one side of the road and proceeding carefully, the car, although sinking up to the running board in mud, was able to force its way through. Tho driver, Mr. G. Neville Carlson, of Auckland, put pegs along the route he took to guide others.
