INJURED ON RAILWAY.

MAN STRUCK BY TRAIN. FRACTURED SKULL SUSTAINED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—-PRESS ASSOCIATION.] IN.VERCARGILL. Sunday. Patrick Enwright, a railway ganger, was seriously injured on the railway at Dipton yesterday. He had left a trolley on the tine while he went into a shed to get some tools. He was accompanied by anothef man, who drew attention to the fact that a train was-coming. Enwright went out and attempted to pull the trolley off the line, but he was sti'uck by the train and carried along on the cowtatcher.

He was thrown against a small post at the side of the rails used in connection with: the signals. The train quickly pulled up and the man was taken to Lumsden, where he received medical attention. It was found that his skull was fractured and he was removed to the Southland Hospital. His condition is serious.
