MISSIONARY EXHIBITION.
INTEREST AT TOWN HALL. LARGE CROWDS YESTERDAY. For: the convenience of country visitors the East and West Missionary Inhibition at the Town Hall was opened yesterday at 10 o'clock, and throughout the day large crowds visited what has proved to be one of the most interesting displays ever presented in Auckland The special attractions for the day were missionary dialogues a,nd music by members of tha Epiphany Church choir, a concert programme by pupils of the Victoria Maori Girls', School, and items by the St. Stephen's Maori boys. Tne concert chamber was again filled to capacity with visitors eager to witnesa the, great. Maori entertainment under the direction of the Eev. F. Bennett. In addition, an attractive missionary play, "The Opan Window," was presented by St. Andrew's, Epsom. By special request the exhibition choir of 300 voices repeated its fine performance of the Hallelujah Chorus and other excerpts from the oratorio s. The gorgeous pageant, procession of 700 performers in Eastern costumes provided a veritable feast of colour, which, combined with the singing of the processional hymn,,produced a moat impressive effect. As the exhibition will close this evening, intending- visitors are asked to attend early to avoid disappointment, as on previous nights. many have been unable to gain admission.
