AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. THE WEEK'S TRANSACTIONS. Business was done in many sections on the Auckland sharemarkst yesterday. In Government securities there was sale in Soldiers' Inscribed, 1933, at £99 10s. Fair inquiry existed for other Inscribed Stocks and War Loans, but although holders quoted freely, no further transactions were recorded. In commercial debentures New Zealand Breweries were done at 25s 6d at each of the three calls, more being wanted at 25s 3d, early quotations of 25s 6d being withdrawn. In banks New Zealands showed an accommodating tendency, sellers dropping 3d to 61s 3d, and buyers moving up 3d to 60s 9d. In insurance Nationals had demand at 80s 6d, no sellers quoting. New Zealands were available at 40s 3d, buyers 39s 3d. South British buyers were steady at 57s 6d, sellers easing 3d to 58s 9d. In coal Taupiris changed hands at 21s 7d. In gas there was sale in Aucklands, ordinary, at 23a 3d, and in contributing at 12s 2d. In timber Nationals sold at 17s. In miscellaneous Bycroft, Ltd., were done at 29s 3d. In mining Alburnias had sale at 4s. Golden Age (paid) sold at Is, lid and lOd, and contributing at sd. Business was brisk in Kawa/raus, sale being made at 6s 2d and 6s Id in the morning and up to 6s 3d at mid-dav. There were further sales in the afternoon at 6s Id and 6s 2d, and the market closed at 6s and 5s 9d, after opening at 6s Id and 6s. Waihi Grand Junctions had sale at 35. Following is a summary of transactions since Friday of last weok. In the second column is given the return, based on the last dividend, from investment at the stated price. In the case of Government and other terminable securities the return includes redemption. The first column gives the figure at which the latest sale was made during tha week:—
