TO-DAY'S WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M, Vincent last avening:—Fair to cloudy weather is indicated, with very cold nights and frosts inland. Southerly winds, moderate to Strong, veering by west to north, then freshening. A change to unsettled conditions will follow shortly. Seas moderate. Barometer, midnight, 30.25 in.; steady. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —Present indications are for southerly breezes veering to westerly. Weather cloudy generally, but with increasing cloudiness for a change shortly on the west coast and in southern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency. RAINFALL RECORD.
