THEFT FROM EMPLOYER.
OFFENCES BY YOUNG MAN. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PEESS ABSOCIATIOW.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. Failure to account for sums totalling £l3 6s thereby committing theft, was admitted by George Edward Sullivan, aged 24, in the Police Court. Accused was employed by Mr. C. E. Bell in the delivery of bread. The chief-detective said that when questioned by Mr. Bell accused acknowledged the misappropriation. He was given an opportunity to repay 10s a week to avoid prosecution. He commenced repayments, but at the same time he took other monies. The magistrate remanded the case to consider an application for probation.
