ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
CHATHAM CUP SEMI-FINAL. HOSPITAL V. NORTH SHORE. BLANDFORD PARK EVENT. Two of the best Association football teams in the North Island, Hospital, Wellington, and North Shore, Auckland, will meet at Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon to decide which team shall play the champion club team of the South Island for the Chatham Cup The game should be as spectacular as a representative contest, for the players, if not individually brilliant, have developed an intimate knowledge of each other's methods and are thus able to reveal the type of combination that pleases. Although there is a feeling among local enthusiasts that North Shoro have gloomy prospects of winning after their display last Saturday against Ponsonby, the fact that the team was much weakened through some players not being available must be taken into consideration.
