Mrs. K. K. Taylor, Wellington, is at present in Auckland. Mrs. C. G. Russell, of Wanganui, is staying at. the Hotel Cargen. Mrs. Lance Tompkins, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Lady Marjorie Dalrvmple has arrived at Brisbane, states an Australian paper. Miss Shirer, who has recently returned from England, is staying at the Hotel Cargen. Miss H. Jackson, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. A. G. Maitland, Riccarton, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Thursby Whitfield, ,who have been staying at the Hotel Cargen, are leaving to-day by motor for Rotorua. Mrs. Haggit and Miss Tolmio, who have been staying at the Hotel Cargen for some weeks, leave on their return to Duoedin to-day. Mrs. A. C. Gibson, Letch worth, England, arrived by the Corinthic and is staying with her daughter, Mrs. G. Shepherd, The Drive, Epsom. The monthly meeting of the Women's National Reserve was held yesterday morning when several matters of importance were discussed. It was decided to hold the reunion of soldiers' wives and mothers in October, the exact date to be fixed at the next, meeting. Leave of absence was granted to Miss Olga Paykel, the honorary secretary, who is leaving for America at the end of the month. Mrs. H. R. Hesketh kindly consented to act as hon. secretary during Miss Paykel's absence.
