LITTLE CHANGE IN VALUES.
Reports oil the weekly stock sale at Hamilton on Tuesday are cb follow: Dalgety and Company, Limited, report.— There was a good yarding of beef, including some choice pens of very prime ox. Prices were on a par with last week's rates, best quality bullocks selling at equai to 36s per 1001b. Ordinary quality bullocks made 32a to 83s per 1001b; best heavy prime bullocks sold to £ls; choice medium-weight, to £l3 15s: choice cow and heifer beef, to 32s per lOQlb; for a line_ of 33 very choice Polled Angus heifers fattened by Mr. David F inlay son, best, made up to £ll 17s 6d, and the line averaged .£lO 16s 9d; ordinary cows and heifers made 1 £5 10s to £7 15s; inferior cows and heifers. £3 17s 6d to £5 as. Not many store cattle were yarded. Store cows, best, made £3 to £4 ss; inferior, 80s to 455; two-year-old Shorthorn heifers, £2 17s 6d; steer calves, small and weedy, 18s; heifer calves, 9s. There was a fair yarding of fat sheep. Prices were higher,, especially for prime ewes. Prime heavy fat wethers mude 34s to 35s 6d; medium wethers, 32s 6d; prime fat ewes, 2"s to 31s 3d; no store Sheep were yarded. Fat- sheep were also easier, no store sheep beinK offered; A medium yarding of store cattle met with a fair demand. Pigs.—A good yarding of both fat and Btore pigs came forward. Prices remained on a par with last week's rates. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:—We had a good yarding of prime steer, cow and heifer beef. Fat steers showed an improvement in values, while cows and heifers 6old at late quotations, with the exception of a few odd pens which were a little easier. Good quality prune heavy steers sold to £ls; heavy. £l3 10a to £l4: medium prime, £l2 14s to £l3; well-done light; to medium, £9 15s to £lO 15s; small, plain and unfinished steers, £7 12s 6d to £8 12s 6d; good quality prime heavy cows, £l3 to £l3 10s; heavy fat cows, £l2 to £l2 15s; medium prime. £lO 2s od to £ll ss: lighter, £8 Ins to £9 103: voung and light cows and heifers. £5 8s to £<; plain cows, £7 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d: fresh -conditioned cows, £4 to £4 10s; stores, £2 Gs to £2 10s; culls, £1 5s to 30s. Fat sheep were penned in average numbers, and the quality was above the usual that comes forward. Good heavy wethers sold to 35s 6d; lighter, 335; medium, 28s; prime ewes, 28s Id to 30s 6d:.fat and forward woolly hoggets, 18a 6d. Pigs.-— A fair varding of fat pigs was submitted, and all classes were firm, realising prices equal to about 7d per lb. An extra heavy yarding; of stores came forward, and keen competition existed throughout.
