FAT STOCK MARKET.

OX BEEF SLIGHTLY LOWER.

MUTTON VALUES MAINTAINED

There was a large offering of beef at the Westfield fat stock sales yesterday, many lines being extra prime. The demand was steady, but prices for ox beef showed a slight decline. Prices for prime cow and heifer beef were maintained at late rates.

There was an average yarding of sheep, and the improvement in mutton values recorded last week was sustained; all grades selling well.
