SERIOUS CHARGES.

USE OF AN INSTRUMENT. ALLEGATION OF MURDER. CASE SET DOWN FOR TO-MORROW [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. A iurther remand until Friday was granted in the case of Elizabeth Ann Nevill, married, aged 49, who was charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with murdering a married woman, Elsie Davis, and with unlawfully using an instrument upon three women. "I understand this is a special fixture for the hearing of the case against Mrs, Nevill," said Mr. J. F. B. Stevenson in asking that bail in the sum of £3OO, with a.similar surety, should be renewed. The application was'granted. Lily Hodge, domestic servant, aged 32, who appeared on two assisting Mrs. Nevill in the unlawful use of an instrument, was remanded to appear next Wednesday, bail in £IOO and a surety of £IOU being renewed. A similar remand was granted in the case of Dr. Oscar Jacobsen, aged 60, charged with inciting a woman to have an unlawful instrument used upon her. A renewal of the bail, £250, and a surety of a similar amount was granted.
