LOSS BY FIRE.
A . WORKSHOP DESTROYED. [By TELEGRAPH.-—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU. Tuesday. An old wooden house, latterly used as a workshop by Mr. Z. Beri, furnishing warehouseman, was gutted by fire early this morning. The flames had a good'hold before the brigade arrived. Considerable stock was damaged by fire and water. Both building and stock were covered by insurance. OUTBREAK AT ROYAL OAK. MOTOR ENGINEERS' PREMISES. A fire broke out on the premises of Messrs. Grundy and Gibbons, motor engineers, Manukau Road, Royal Oak, shortly after two o'clock yesterday morning.- A passing motor-bus driver noticed flames in the office and gave the alarm to the Onehunga Fire Brigade, which prevented the fire from spreading. Little damage was done.
