MADE IN GERMANY.
GOODS FOR AUSTRALIA. LOCAL ARTICLES UNDERSOLD. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Aug. 12. The report of the Australian ludustries Protection League states that German competition in certain lines is becoming astonishingly vigorous. It states, for example, that wire netting is being offered in Australia at £4 10s less than the sum for which it could be produced in Australia. In other classes of goods, notably in tools, trade is being offered at similarly low rates. The leaguo urges that it is the duty of the Federal Government to make it impossible for unpatriotic or forgetful traders to deal with foreigners when the same clas.s of goods can be obtained from Britain.
