BOROUGH COUNCIL NEEDS. [BX TELEGRAPH.—OWN COBKESPONDENT.] Thursday. A meeting of the Borough Council was held last night. , Regarding the Local Government Loans Board Bill and tlie'Town Planning Bill, a motion was adopted expressing the opinion that it was desirable that the two kills should be deferred until next session, so that local bodies may have an opportunity of considering them. Messrs. J. B. Stevenson and J. Martin wrote? tendering their resignations as members of the council. The resignations were accepted with regret. The council decided to procure a quotation for the installation of a radio set in the Town Hall. - . The council voted £l5O to tho funds of the Domain Board. Mr. A. N lies was appointed the council's delegate to the meeting of the Bay of Plenty Development League to be held this month. ,
