GRANGE ROAD BAPTISTS.

ANNUAL MEETING HELD. ' The annual meeting of the Grange Road Baptist Church was held on Wednesday evening, the Rov. A. S. Wilson presiding over a good attendance. The annual report stated that 16 new members had joined the church in the past eight weeks. The membership roll stood at 226, but this ; number would be reduced by the transfer of names to the new branch. The following officers were elected Deacons, Messrs. R. S. Abel, H. Lawrence. F. E, Kretschmar, T„ Phillpotts, E. Sharp, P. Ojberg, A. J. Lucas and F. Woolier; deaconesses, Mesdamcs O'Donneil, Bennett, Whitmarsb, Woollur, Lucas and Old, and Miss MacTavish;; men's visitation committee, Messrs. B. M. Wilson, S. Whitmarsh, T. Phillpotts «ind A. Conibeer; secretary, Mr. A. Lucas; treasurer, Mr. 11. S. Abel; assistant treasurer, Mr. H. Lawrence; envelope secretary, Miss L, Douglas. A resolution was passed unanimously authorising this transfer of the properties of the church (to, the Baptist Union, to bo held in trust, subject to adequate safeguards, of the interests of the church.
